Attempting to download the Insider preview to load up to a spare partition... anticipated time to completion: 13 days.
I think MS is getting slammed with this right about now. At least, I hope they are. The rest of my internet is working okay.

Shame on you for actually using your insanely fast 10ish MBps connection.
Don't you realize you're not supposed to actually do anything with it? What's the point of providing a laughably bad service for outrageous prices if people are going to use it regardless?
Fucking customers always wanting more. More speed. More bandwidth. Faster, faster. You should be happy you got any connection at all you ungrateful plebes.
Gah! Having a monopoly almost isn't worth it sometimes. Guess we should "find" some more useage fees to make up for the headache of having to deal with you ingrates.
-What your ISP thinks of you right now.

It's really more bluediculous. There's a lot more blue there than red.
That download time is ridiculous though.

At least you're not trying to download an HP printer driver.

Worked fine for me over the weekend and I even downloaded the .ISO file.

I see you're as utterly jaded about the internet in the U.S. as I am.
Per chance have you read this already?

Yeah. Those fuckers make my blood boil.
I keep up with this like it's my job. Forcing the Telcos to update our connections and the Government spying on us are the most important issues facing our generation.
If we fail, society will never be the same. Sadly too many are distracted by completely trivial matters like healthcare and minority rights.
That us not to say those aren't important. They are. But without the freedom and privacy to express ourselves online or to meet and plan actions that bring about change, we will never be able achieve equality.

I like you.
Nothing will make me happier than to see Obama veto the bullshit bill that the House is working on and letting the FCC reclassify the ISPs as Utilities.

Indeed.
However, Obama has still endorsed and proposed some of the most draconian spying policies we've ever seen.
I wish I knew more about encryption. I would very much like to have a VPN running for my home connection. Not that I have much to hide, but on principle I don't think anyone should be allowed to see what I do without reasonable cause and some legal checks in place. Just because it's digital, doesn't mean it isn't exactly the same damn thing as physical property.

I certainly never said he was perfect.

As long as you're not doing anything fancy with your home internet connection like running your own NAS or home server that requires stuff like port forwarding, you can easily connect to a VPN. Most VPN providers have their own client software that you can download. It's a real easy thing to do. PIA is one of the leading providers as well.
Some routers can even act as VPN clients and connect to a VPN service, so literally every device connected to your router will be routed through the VPN.
